MA Design suite students and alumni from The CASS faculty of Art, Media and Design, London Metropolitan University showcase work made for a live project in association with Treasure and the industry’s top fair trade jewellers CRED during Jewellery Week 2012.
Nine MA Jewellery and Design students took on the challenge to each design pieces for a menswear collection of jewellery that was on trend and fashion forward. This new generation of designers has embraced CRED’s values of designing responsibility, sustainably and with social awareness - to create jewellery and accessories that are beautiful in both design and ethical integrity.
MA Interior students also created a series of installations for Treasure at Somerset House. Their major concerns were the use of digital manufacturing and sustainable materials and they have created floral chandeliers for the Essence Pavilion, an installation of digitally produced ‘diamonds’ for the VIP Room and the ‘Bows of Celebration’ for the giving for the Press Room.
This unique collaborative relationship of the The CASS working with Treasure and CRED is now its 4th year.
